Happy Trucker™ revolutionises the search for truck parking spaces in Europe

The new meta-booking platform for truck parking spaces puts an end to the daily parking shortage, reduces costs, relieves truck drivers and protects the environment.

Leipzig, 12/02/25: Happy Trucker GmbH is an innovative company entering the European transport logistics market. The online platform enables dispatchers and truck drivers to book secure truck parking spaces along their route with just a few clicks - whether for a short stop, an overnight stay or longer downtimes. Andreas Angermayr reports on the launch of Happy Trucker™: "As there is a glaring shortage of truck parking spaces, we are bundling the parking space offers of various partners and thus offering the largest number of bookable truck parking spaces. The main focus is currently on Germany, although the first truck parking areas in Europe are already in the portfolio. Germany is considered a transit country in transport logistics, so we will be focussing on other countries in the expansion phase. We are also clearly focusing on technology partnerships so that our users, the dispatchers and truck drivers, can remain in their familiar working environment. These integrations will soon make it possible to book secure parking spaces for around 250,000 trucks."

The founder Andreas Angermayr and his company Content Intelligence Services, a specialist for geodata in the areas of geomarketing, mobility and infrastructure, were made aware of the immense challenge of a lack of parking spaces for trucks: There is a shortage of 35,000 parking spaces in Germany, particularly at night, and around 100,000¹ across Europe. He and his team then analysed the market and held discussions with parking space brokers and integration partners from the fields of truck navigation and telematics.
The result was the meta-booking platform Happy Trucker.

Maximum efficiency and safety for haulage companies

Happy Trucker™ offers numerous advantages for haulage companies:

  • Cost savings: By eliminating the average one-hour search for a parking space, considerable fuel and personnel costs can be saved.
  • Higher driver satisfaction: truck drivers benefit from less stress, which strengthens employee loyalty and can alleviate the driver shortage.
  • Increased safety: 75% of freight damage occurs in unsecured truck parking areas² - Happy Trucker™ offers targeted safe alternatives.
  • Integration into telematics, truck navigation and TMS systems: By connecting to existing software systems, dispatchers and truck drivers can seamlessly integrate truck parking areas into their route planning.
  • Environmental protection: less search traffic reduces CO₂ emissions
  • Less administrative effort: just one account with Happy Trucker™ instead of several accounts with different providers

For the international expansion of the booking platform, Happy Trucker™ is working closely with software manufacturers from the logistics sector and parking area brokers and owners to continuously expand the offering. For the latter, the focus is primarily on innovative concepts for the multiple use of commercial spaces, so that unused areas such as stadium truck parking areas outside of event times or depots are increasingly integrated. "We are also cooperating with partners who are driving forward the expansion of the charging infrastructure in order to support haulage companies on their way to e-mobility," adds Andreas Angermayr.
